Javascript and Mac browsers

Lately, it seems that I'm having problems with Web sites that use Javascript. At first, I attributed the problem to merely crappy Web programming, but I've even had problems on sites like this one, so I don't know if it is something endemic to the browsers I'm using -- Safari mostly, but I've had Firefox and Camino crash on me too.

Thoughts?

I've had similar problems with Safari at orkut. Rating friends, and assigning hearts, ice cubes, etc., sometimes results in complete browser crash. Have you submitted any bug reports when that has happened? I could be deluding myself, but I like to believe Apple actually reads those things.

Huh. I haven't had any problems like that at all. The only problems I've had are rendering problems with sites that use CSS extensively. I've seen disappearing links and the like.

I love Safari and Firefox, but they are definitely still works in progress.
