Songfly.com is up for sale
Not too long ago, I wrote up this entry about songfly.com. At the time I wrote it, I was peeved because I had a client who paid for the service and thought that he was paying for the ability to download free, legal music. Instead, all that songfly.com had at that time was front page which at best could be characterized as misleading and inside the "paid" portion there were just links to kazaa and other such filesharing software.
Anyway, after I posted the entry, I heard from a variety of people who also felt they were ripped off. The blog entry has been so popular, aside from being the number three result on Google for songfly.com and linked on some messageboards, every couple of days or so I get a comment on that thread -- mostly from former customers who want their money back.
Today, a commenter noted that the guy behind the songfly site has put it up to bid on ebay.
So far, no bids as of yet.
Posted by joy at February 25, 2004 10:18 PM | TrackBackI recently subscibed to songfly as well and totally got ripped off. I emailed them to refund my money and spoke with paypal as well but it was too late they had already gotten my money. If you have any information as to how to get my money back please give me some insight. thanks sherrie
